14 Things Catholic Moms Want to Tell You about Themselves

Mother’s Day is around the corner, friends!

We asked some of our contributors and friends of the Sistas to share things they want others to know about themselves. As we dive into our Proverbs 31 Catholic Woman series, we start to see how each of us is called to live out our unique vocation as children of God, women, wives, and mothers- biological AND spiritual. Because none of us are the same, each one of us live out our vocation differently while striving to live out our vocation as God calls us.

  1. I’m a Catholic grandma and I love having so many flowers in the grandma garden — 22 so far. It gives new meaning to “Stop and smell the flowers.”

  2. Love them all, but ESPECIALLY the nun! Thankks for reminding us that these women are mothers, too, as they nurture and bring forth new spiritual life to the world.

  3. I love all of these photos, but the spiritual motherhood one spoke to my heart most of all. As a single woman with no kids, it was a pleasant reminder that motherhood isn’t only about the children we carry in our bodies, but all the opportunities we have to love and nurture those around us. Thank you for remembering our religious sisters and, by extension, others who don’t have families just yet!

  4. I enjoyed this post so much, it inspired a Motherhood photo journal. Of course, I linked back to your beautiful post. We’re tweeting #CatholicMom and #MothersDay when sharing. Submissions are still coming in…

  5. I’m the Mom of four daughters here on Earth and a son in Heaven and I was blessed to stay home with them until they were grown. Now have 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren! The Lord is good!
