It’s ALMOST the most wonderful time of the year – even though Christmas trees are up and Christmas music is playing everywhere, we still have 11 days before Advent begins! And Christmas shopping is on the brain. Last year we did a 2013 Handy Dandy Guide to Catholic Christmas Shopping; since “Jesus is the Reason”, we decided to focus on Catholic-themed gifts that are fun to give and receive, and found 60 of our absolute favorite Catholic items to give for Christmas. This year, we’ve done one better – we found some new favorites, PLUS, we thought a little Christmas gift giveaway might be fun! A “little” giveaway spiraled into 29 prizes from our favorite Catholic companies and authors, including TAN, Ignatius Press, Holy Heroes, CCC, Wee Believers and more. We are SO excited about this! Below are our gift picks, and the giveaway items are listed directly beneath that. Enter through the Rafflecopter widget at the bottom. 🙂
(The companies and authors who have donated these prizes are not sponsors of Catholic Sistas, since we do not take sponsorships at this time, nor are we sponsors of them. They have simply teamed up with us to offer their goods in the giveaway we are hosting!)
We bring you… The Official 2014 Catholic Christmas Gift Guide.

This lavishly illustrated book is essentially a love story about God’s immense love for his people and the reciprocation of this love by the humble Polish nun declared a saint by Pope John Paul II.
Iota is a poignant drama about what men believe and how they might act accordingly. by AnnMarie Creedon
Angela ‘Jel’ Cooke is a widow and mother of three who stays busy so as not to have to face the fact that her marriage was damaged and her husband, Devin, died before it could be repaired. Her good friends realize that no amount of home made lasagna, volunteering at church or late night games of Yahtzee can heal Angela from past regrets. When she meets Jack, the teacher of a class she is taking, he challenges her to face her demons. What follows is the poignant, yet often hilarious saga of how Angela overcomes her guilt and learns to love herself and others.

1 Yes, God!: What Ordinary Families Can Learn about Parenting from Today’s Vocation Stories
– Susie Lloyd
In a culture that is often dark and discouraging, where can parents look for help in raising their children? Here are the heartwarming stories of five priests, five nuns, and the parents who raised them to be open to God’s call. In Yes, God! What Ordinary Families Can Learn About Parenting from Today’s Vocation Stories, Lloyd relates some of their joys and setbacks, reveals their guiding principles and rallying cries, and passes along tips from the “master” parents. The mother of seven, Lloyd also shares some of her own (often-humorous) parenting tales, and helps readers understand the various dynamics of Catholic family life and the diverse factors that influence a child’s decision to say “yes” to God.

Love This! I see a couple of things I am already writing down for my list. Thank you for sharing!
I’d like the veils gift card so I could get some veils. And maybe some for my family/friends!
so many cute ideas for the kids! hoping the grandparents will get them spiritual gifts this year for christmas!
i LOVE the little mass kit!
There are so many great prizes in this give away. I love following Catholic Sistas on Facebook!
My favorite Advent tradition is hanging the Jesse tree ornaments + readings every day. I’m hoping this year we will stay on track ALL of Advent!!
Thanks for this great list!
I admit…I’m a last minute shopper, I usually don’t finish until the 23rd!
I HOPE to finish all my shopping before Advent begins, but I’ll probably be scrambling to get something for my husband at the last minute as he’s hard to buy for!
Our favorite Advent tradition is singing “O Come O Come Emmanuel” each night before lighting the candle at dinnertime.
The item I have my eye on is the Catholic Day Planner. This type-A Mom loves all things organizational!
Thanks for the chance to win!
My Advent tradition is our Jesse Tree! We love it!
This year I have to wait until December to shop, since we had extra expenses in November (but usually I try to finish shopping before Advent)
My goal is to have my Christmas shopping done before Advent begins – almost there! 🙂
Advent wreath is a family favorite!
These prizes all look so wonderful & fun! Thank you Catholic Sistas for the ideas and the fun contest! These all would make wonderful gifts. I can’t choose!

My favorite Advent tradition is the advent wreath and candles.
I have my eye on those Tan Treasure Box book set and the Glory Stories because….homeschool and children and dreaming with no money.
I always seem to be a last minute shopper!
Our favorite Advent Tradition is our magnetic Advent calendar. The kids take turns opening a door and adding a piece of the nativity scene, then we read appropriate verses and pray.
Wonderful giveaway & Christmas list! 🙂
I would keep some prizes for my family, and share some with friends. 🙂
I’m a last minute shopper that’s for sure!
also I would keep or pass on the prize depending on what it is 🙂
My favorite advent tradition is lighting the wreath on Sunday evenings at dinner with my family and doing our devotion. My favorite times of the year are Advent and Lent! This advent, we are expecting our 7th child so it makes it a little extra special. 😉
I would love the Prayer Pillowcase, Jesus figurine, Catholic Sistas planner, and the CCC of America gift certificate!! Great prizes and ideas for gifts! Also, I will most likely still be buying gifts well into Advent, but I’m trying to at least get started now.
I would prob give my winning as a gift.
I am usually done everything before Thanksgiving but lack of finances this year is forcing me to wait. The good news is that it already has me planning ahead on how to NOT let this happen again next year!
Thank you so much for this awesome giveaway! I have my eye on the $30 gift card to CCC of America. I would use it to buy my boys movies 😀
Our family’s favorite Advent tradition is one we started last year (okay, it’s our only one so far, but it worked REALLY well). I took a small plastic storage box – one that would fit one of the baby dolls we have. Then I cut strips of brown paper and drew swirls on them to make them look sort of like wood, and taped them to the sides of the box – making it resemble a manger. Next to the box, I had a basket of cotton balls. Our children are pretty little (6 and under), so doing hay or yarn seemed like it wouldn’t show the effect of their good works fast enough, so we did cotton balls. It worked out so perfectly! The kids LOVED it! They understood what it was for, got excited to throw cotton balls in for baby Jesus, would ask me what they could do to give Jesus another one, etc….so they were working at being nice, helping each other, and praying for others. Even I got in on it 🙂 My Protestant husband really liked it too, and on Christmas Eve, we sang “Away in a Manger” as we processed in to the manger to put Jesus in it under the Christmas tree. It was awesome. I am soooo not crafty or creative; this was a gift from God for our family. 🙂
I shop online, for the most part, so I’d say I shop before, during and after. Much less stress
My favorite Advent tradition is lighting the candles with my kiddos.
My advent tradition is to decorate the door, the house, even the tree (when the time comes) with advent colors. I have a purple and pink ornament wreath I made and I use my advent candies that i purchased from a benedictine abbey for my advent table candles.
These are great ideas!
I love the build your own nativity set we use with our kids. Every day of Advent we put out a different piece. Santa puts out baby Jesus on Christmas eve.
We decorate our christmas tree with white and purple lights (ypu can get discounted purple lights after haloween) and put up a purple ball ornament each day of advent along with the appropriate jesse tree ornament. Then, on Christmas Eve we take it all down and redecorate for christmas and leave it up until epiphany. We also do Advent candles at dinner on sundays and use the wreath as a centerpiece on a purple table cloth.
Trying to get all the shopping done early for a quiet and reflective Advent. I’m not sure a quiet Advent is possible with four littles — but that’s the goal! 🙂 Thanks for such a fantastic giveaway!
My children are mostly grown. I hope I win one of the books (paper….I don’t own a kindle)
I would love to win the time shirts, what a way to share our faith without saying a word.
I would love to win the gift card to CCC.
I love all of the gift ideas! My kids are definitely getting some of these! How cute is that Mass kit?
and to answer one of the questions, I think my baby would love one of the little toys, either the lamb or the lion, but I would be happy to win any of these awesome giveaways!
Incredible giveaway! ♡
I usually do not start shopping until the beginning of advent. We also do not put our tree up until sometime during a decent and keep it up through the 12 days of christmas.
I am so glad that you started this contest because I had no idea of some of these companies that sell great Catholic items! Great items being sold for Christmas! So happy to be able to offer my children toys that are religious also!!!!
I am a book – nut so I would most love to win the books! My favorite Advent tradition is lighting the Advent wreath and for the first time, this year I will have finished my Christmas shopping before Advent. As for wrapping, well that’s another story…. Loving the giveaway!

What a great list & contest! Thank you!!
Thanks so much for this amazing giveaway!! Our favorite tradition is the Jesse Tree.
Which prize do you have YOUR eye on and why?…I’m especially fond of the manger with Jesus. We have a “larger” style nativity that we put under our Christmas tree, but
(continued from above) I’d love to have a manger like this that can be placed under the tree on Christmas.
I have my eye on the $50 to veils by Lily – I’ve been thinking about veiling and this sure would make it easier!
What an exciting giveaway!

What is your favorite Advent tradition?
We do many different things for Advent but we do have ONE tradition that goes every year. A Jesse Tree. We learn something new every year.
Those prayer pillowcases are really cute!
I’m attempting to finish my Christmas shopping before Advent begins this year. I think I’ll have the majority of it done so I can skip out on the crazy mall shopping and have more time to spend with JESUS this Advent! 😉
I love the Mass Kit and the Veils. 🙂
If I win, I’m going to keep a few and then give the rest to families at my church. I don’t have any children yet, (although they should, God willing, be coming SOON) so I would much rather give a family something I will just end up having to throw into a box for a few years.
If I were to win I would share with other members of my family because some pertains more to them.
Such an amazing giveaway! Thank yiu so much for being so generous! Everything is so great!
Love this list and just in time for some shopping!

Thanks Catholic Sistas! This is awesome!
Haha- didn’t see the prompts- I think doing a Jesse tree is a great tradition to recall salvation history, so we’re going to try and do that this year!
Our favorite advent tradition is the Jesse tree . I made one of felt similar to the one on shower of roses. We wait to decorate and get a tree until Christmas eve and then spend the day in full on Christmas spirit.. having waited all of advent! We have a tree trimming day and listen to the Blind Boys of Alabama christmas music. It is a tradition Im so happy to have started for my kids!

I try to plan much of my shopping in November and make all my purchases over Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend when the deals are best. That leaves Advent open for other things!
Well, the IDEA is to get my shopping done before Advent, but this year I’m not even quite sure who I’m buying for…so it may be all a theory.

I think my favorite gift idea on here was the saint clothing for a 10 inch doll. My daughter would love to have a little religious to run around the house with.
My favorite part of Advent is the Advent wreath!
My favorite Advent tradition is the Advent Calendar! Been doing it since I was a little girl…and still make sure I do it every year!
Great prizes from so many Great Catholic vendors – can do all our shopping right here!!
I always try to get my shopping done before Advent begins, so I can relax and enjoy the liturgical season. Some years I accomplish my goal, some years I don’t 🙂 Thanks for doing this give away. What fun!
Great giveaway!
Wanting to win the Veils by Lily gift card, or any prize.
My favorite is probably the Advent wreath.
So many things I’d love to win! Very nice!
I would love to win the Veils By Lily gift card.
Ohmygoodness, I am geeking out over all this! If I win I’d keep half and gift the other half. 🙂
Favorite tradition is adding hay to Jesus manger when we make a sacrifice to get it ready for baby Jesus. Would love the baby Jesus in the manger. Or veils by lily to get my girls their confirmation veils.
We love celebrating St. Nick on his Feast Day with chocolate gold coins, one toy, and one religious item in our stockings that morning.
A favorite Advent tradition at our house…the first day we set up a tree. The next night we put white lights around it; the night following it is decked with purple ribbon. After that, on each successive evening each child is able to put one purple ornament ( or pink after the third week begins) on the tree. It really reinforces the waiting and anticipation!
my favorite advent tradition was always singing at the church for Christmas. They do a HUGE posada play downtown on the riverwalk every year on the river barges and it is absolutely stunning! People come from all over the world to watch it, and many churches come and sing on the river as well.
It’s always my goal to have shopping done before Advent!
Last year we began a new Advent tradition of the three wise men looking for baby Jesus. We used the Playmobil toys and every morning they would be somewhere new. The kids loved it and it feels true to the season.
I would love to win the Veils by Lily gift card.
I would love to by my sister (who is in college and dicerning religious life) a nice veil for Christmas. I couldn’t afford a quality veil for her birthday, so I am hoping that I could get her one now!
What is your favorite Advent tradition? we will be doing a Jesse Tree this year, and I also like the O Antiphons tradition
Which prize do you have YOUR eye on and why? Naturally I have my eye on the Veils by Lily prize, but I’d be happy with anything, because I rarely win anything 🙂 I’m glad to “meet” and support some interesting Catholic companies
If you win, will you keep the prize for yourself or give it as a gift? My kids might be too old for a few of the toys, but we have a few friends and family babies coming, so they’d find a good home!
Do you finish your shopping before or after Advent? I AIM to get done by the first week of Advent, but sometimes it works out that I’m out and about facing the crazies prayerfully.
We have an advent calendar and we say a prayer for every day of advent. We only started last year, but my daughter seemed to like it.
I think the thing I would want the most is the veil from veils by lily. If I win something else, I would probably give some away and give it to my kids (which is kind of like keeping it anyway. …ha ha ha )
What an amazing list. Wonderful ideas for Christmas gifts!
I love Advent and the prep that my little family does leading up to Christmas. Advent Calendar, the Jesse Tree, the daily reflection–I need to find a way to do similar things during Ordinary time as well!
During Advent we do either the Jesse Tree or a Giving?RAK Advent Calender.
Every year I say I’ll get my shopping done before Advent starts. And every year I’m still shopping on the 23rd!! I’ll do it this year….if I hurry up!!
Probably the Prayer Pillowcases for my kids! Cute idea!

Which prize do you have YOUR eye on and why?
The Veils by Lily gift card. I have been eyeing a mantilla for a year or so & have felt called to veil for a while now, and this would allow me to respond to that call.
My favorite Advent tradition is the Advent wreath and I try to have all my shopping done before Advent (fingers crossed for this year).
thank you for hosting this givaway. It also gives me some great ideas for Christmas gifts and baptism anniversary gifts for godchildren.

I try to finish shopping before Advent, but I usually end up getting a few things within! Thanks for opportunity with this giveaway! 🙂

What a great guide!! I would love to win any of these awesome prizes!!
I really like the prayer pillowcases. They would make great gifts for my Godchildren. For me I would like to win the gift certificate to veils by lily because I could use a new veil.

I would love the prayer buddies. I think my little one would carry it everywhere.
Which prize do you have YOUR eye on and why?
Hard to choose – probably some CCC videos or the Treasure Box Book Sets for my children and godchildren.
“If you win, will you keep the prize for yourself or give it as a gift?”
I think if I actually win this, I would die! Seriously, there are many things on this giveaway that I have been wanting to give to my children, but couldn’t afford to. Just one example would be the Mass Kit by Wee Believers. Most of them would be Christmas gifts. I would be so happy giving these kinds of gifts to fill and friends because they focus on the Catholic Christmas perspective. Thanks to all of the amazing companies that are donating these items for one lucky winner! And thanks to Catholic Sistas for hosting, you gals rock! God Bless!!
I would love to win anything on here. It all looks great!
I am desperately trying to finish the bulk of my Christmas shopping before the start of Advent this year. Almost done! I just want a calmer, more spiritual advent focused on waiting for our Savior. This is the first year we’ll be doing a Jesse Tree. We always do an advent wreath, celebrate Saint Nicholas Day and do charitable activities as a family. Thank you for the chance to win!
We always do the advent wreath.
This is the first year I have all of my shopping done (except for one gift card that I cannot purchase right now)before Advent. I am looking forward to enjoying the season without the stress of last minute shopping
I will finish up shopping (and making) gifts after advent. Thanks for the chance to win. 🙂
Woo Hoo ! These are some cool prizes. The kiddie Mass kit would be a nice addition to our Religious Education program. The veils are stunning and I’d be honored to receive that. I’d like any of the books, too, but it’s the time I need to read them.
I TRY to finish shopping before Advent…doesn’t always work, but it’s a good goal.
Would love to win the catholic planner (for me!), CCC g.c. (to share)or Arma Dei g.c. (to share)
My favorite Advent tradition is having my children place a piece of straw in the manger for Baby Jesus every time they make a sacrifice. Thanks for the great giveaway!

There are so many great gifts in this list! I would love to win anything.
My daughter and I LOVE lighting the advent candles (we also sing a song) and we have a Jesse Tree, too. My personal favorite is the St. Andrew novena (my Eli Andrew just turned two. <3)
This is an amazing giveway! Thank you and God bless!
We light a lot of candles during Advent. That’s one of my favorite traditions.
My favorite Advent tradition is attending Advent Lessons and Carols! 🙂
I will love to win any of the Advent gifts. Thanks for the Jesuits. A.M.D.G
So many great prizes, it’s hard to choose a favorite! Would love to give one of the pillowcases to one of the littles in our family.
Our favorite family tradition is an advent wreath.
I’d love to win any of the gifts. Some of them I would keep for my family. Several of them I would share with my church family and friends. 🙂
For Many years I worked fulltime while in night school. So I got all my shopping done in August. I continue that practice. This way I can focus on Advent.
We never finish Christmas shopping before Advent. We don’t do lists from the kids until St. Nicholas Day, so we work from then on.
Great gifts to share with family and friends!
My Favorite Advent Tradition is the Jesse Tree.
Favorite Advent tradition is the Advent wreath and our Advent chain. My daughters make a pink and purple chain for each day of Advent and each day remove a link and we do something as a family–read a story, sing carols, bake cookies, do a craft, etc. This year we are going to do the Jesse tree.
Thank you for the amazing list!
I loved so many of the gifts. I am proud to say that I just ordered something for my new grandbaby due in May….grandbaby #5….the other grandchildren are going to be just as excited. I am ordering them the pillow cases, they just told me last week they could say Hail Mary, Our Father, Glory be, Guardian Angel, keep in mind they are all under 6, my daughter and son in law is doing a wonderful job. So when I saw the St. Micheal pillow case the one they were having trouble with I had to buy that one too.
So sweet thanks for sharing this!
No need to go out shopping on Thanksgiving or Black Friday, here is where I hope to be!
Any prize is fine, and depending upon what it is I will decided if it is something I really want or if I know of someone else who would really want it!
Great gift ideas for any time of year.
If you win, will you keep the prize for yourself or give it as a gift?
Depending on the prize
I would love any/all of these prizes. I co-lead a Mothers of Young Children Bible study and Church group as well as have so many Catholic friends and family members that I know I would have LOTS of people who I could gift any of these items to. Plus several of the options would be perfect for me as a new homeschooling mom (Especially Holy Heroes, CCC of America, Treasure Box among others)!
I am esp excited about the veils by Lily gift card. They make the most beautiful veils!
What is your favorite Advent tradition? The Advent Cards we put in our Advent Calendar. We do things for others. It’s awesome…
Which prize do you have YOUR eye on and why? There are so many things… the Nativity, and a few of the books.
If you win, will you keep the prize for yourself or give it as a gift? Not sure. I’ve been known to do both.
Do you finish your shopping before or after Advent? Used to be before. Now, during or after. lol
Love this gift guide! Know of many of these businesses, but learned about some great new Catholic businesses!
i would love the Veils gift card to buy a beautiful veil for my daughter’s First Communion this year!
I just learned of this giveaway, and it’s already closed??? :o(
