Refrigerator Catechism: Saint Teresa Magnets

Saint Teresa!  Can you believe it’s official?!?!!!  Even before I was Catholic I admired the person that Mother Teresa was and her humanitarian efforts.  To be able to witness her canonization is nothing short of surreal!

When I was deciding what to make for this month’s craft post it seemed timely to make something about Saint Teresa.  And as a big believer in strewing learning throughout our home I thought about adding inspirational quotes and images onto our refrigerator, right in with our family photos and learning center.

Step 4) Strew!  I think I will put two of these out at a time and switch them every week or so.  It should be a fun way to subliminally catechize the entire family 😉

I’m not for sure which quote is my favorite but I am very drawn to the image of Saint Teresa holding the baby.  Her warmth and smile are so beautiful to me.  Saint Teresa was another leading part in my conversion before joining the Catholic Church was even a consideration in my mind.  Her outstanding example of love showed me what true beauty looked like… something that *I* wanted to emulate and continue to strive towards daily.

People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
