You can spend every minute of every day trying to force the rest of us to live by your ideology [it looks sick and intolerant to me.] You can go after federal funds [and lots of it! And what were your profits last year?] for health care and pressure private organizations like the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation to continue funding for breast cancer screenings—regardless of their choice to leave you. [Exactly170,000 screenings done over the last five years—and they gave you HOW much money?] You can try to make it impossible to get accurate, truthful information about birth control [and abortion for that matter. For example, information that would help teens understand that condoms are not foolproof protection from STD’s, including AIDS. Or that abortion causes pain to a “fetus”. Or that abortion has even been linked with breast cancer.]
But you know what you can’t do? You can’t win. You can’t break us. We understand that Planned Parenthood isn’t just a family of organizations [or a family organization.] It’s a movement. It’s a power- and money-hungry group of lobbyists, directors, organizers…and at least a fractional percentage of doctors. It’s women and men of all ages who believe that health care — including reproductive health care — is a basic human right. [At least when it lines their own pockets. When it comes to reporting incest, rape, andchild prostitution… not so much.] But WE are millions strong. WE are everywhere. We act, we give, and we do whatever it takes to make sure that Planned Parenthood is exposed for what it is to the women, men, and teens who mistakenly rely on them.
Know this: When you support Planned Parenthood [understand: the people they serve have been deceived by decades of lies, from founder Margaret Sanger even to current CEO Cecile Richards] you aren’t going after ME—you’re going after life itself. I stand against Planned Parenthood. I stand against anyone who wants to stop women from receiving the health care they deserve. I stand with them today, tomorrow, and for as long as I need to.
[Please do not feel the need to comment regarding the "real facts" of abortion, condoms, breast cancer, Planned Parenthood, religious zealots, etc. If you support Planned Parenthood, we obviously have different opinions about the "facts", and there is no point in further discussing them here. Thank you.]
